What you get to do: The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Lighting Supervisor with coordinating the deployment of lighting and special effect systems for all Entertainment related events; managing the lighting crew and all lighting and special effects related business. Training and supervision of the lighting team. Deployment, installation and supervision of lighting plots for all Entertainment related events. Management of all lighting and special effect systems, equipment and hardware including S.O.P.s, maintenance, safety and compliance. Drafting and paperwork services including inventory, budget, schedules and equipment. Process of pricing equipment and managing services of outside vendors. Oversee safety as it pertains to SEA Best Practices and Rigging Standards and all other relevant industry guidelines. Establishes and maintains a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines. Responsible for labor management, including but not limited to, establishing and maintaining line schedules, authorizing position requisition hiring, monitoring labor expenses in correlation to revenue, and ensuring accuracy of ambassadors’ payroll records. Responsible for managing ambassador performance ensuring appropriate ambassador training, providing formal and informal feedback on performance, and making recommendations to progressive discipline. Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving, and reporting of unsafe situations. Consistently demonstrates courteous and professional behavior in all work aspects with all ambassadors and guests. Works as part of a team to increase productivity and while providing excellent guest service. Provides excellent guest service to guests and employees. Maintains a professional appearance that meets grooming standards. Assist department with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of professional experience as a Lighting or Special Effect Technician preferred
  • Six (6) months experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
  • Moderate knowledge of lighting and special effect, production and/or technical theater required
  • Moderate knowledge of computer programs, lighting system components, Special Effects Equipment and related equipment
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
