About The Position

Wild Rock Golf Club is currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and career driven Turfgrass Professional to join our Agronomy Team as an Assistant Superintendent. We pride ourselves on training, professional development, and advancement opportunities for our team members. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of golf course maintenance and management at a top-tier facility. About Wild Rock Golf Club: Open in 2008, Wild Rock Golf Club is part of the Wilderness Territory and has been recognized by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as one of the top ten best new courses in the country. Designed by Dr. Mike Hurdzan and Dana Fry, Wild Rock is a true championship layout stretching 7,400 yards from back of tees. In addition to our 18-hole championship course, we offer The Woods Course, a nine-hole short course suitable for players of all skill levels. The Wilderness Territory includes Wilderness Resort, Glacier Canyon Lodge, Wilderness on the Lake, and Sundara Spa. Recent Improvements: 2025: Full bunker renovation completed by Wadsworth Golf Course Construction, featuring Capillary Concrete bunker liners and Fredonia bunker sand. Ongoing tree removal and property enhancement projects, making this an exciting opportunity for 2026.

Requirements

  • Degree of certificate from a 2-year or 4-year Turfgrass Management Program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of golf course maintenance experience (internship experience strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with spray applications and chemical/fertilizer programs.
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems.
  • Utilize USGA Deacon software daily, including:
  • GS3 Ball
  • Stimpmeter
  • Firmness meter
  • USGA Moisture Meter
  • Identify turf pests, diseases, and weeds.
  • Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Participate in a full range of agronomic practices used at championship-level facilities.
  • Assist with staff training and daily crew supervision.
