About The Position

The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in driving field execution—partnering closely with the Superintendent to coordinate daily operations, lead craft teams, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to build hands-on leadership experience while contributing to the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years construction experience, OR 2+ years experience with 4-year degree
Excellent communication and organizational skills
In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
Thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.
Ability to motivate employees and handle different situations.

Nice To Haves

Formal journeyman carpentry training and/or supervisory training courses preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

Assist with supervision of craft personnel to ensure project is constructed by design, within budget and on schedule.
Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
Monitor personnel for compliance with safety and working procedures.
Advise Superintendent of all potential problems and assist in problem solving.
Perform additional assignments as required.
