About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to assist in the daily operations at a Hurrdat Sports Bar and Grill. Hurrdat Sports Bar and Grill strives to deliver an elevated experience for our customers who are passionate about sports, entertainment, and events. We are a unique facility, combining a fully functioning Restaurant & Sports Bar with an intimate live event venue featuring podcast recording, concerts, and private events. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for the management of daily service operations. This individual must exhibit unparalleled levels of hospitality, successfully build, and lead strong teams, maintain our brand and identity, and strive to exceed standards. This role is responsible for building, training, and leading the F.O.H. team members to include all service staff, and support staff. This position reports directly to our General Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in multi-faceted, high-volume restaurant, venue, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and commitment to excellence.

  • Ability to successfully multi-task, delegate, and manage in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respectfully mentor, train, develop, and hold team members accountable to expectations.

  • Functional working knowledge of health department and all other related regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be fluently literate in English including the ability to read, write, and communicate, conduct business related mathematics, and analyze data.
  • Must have proficient computer and technological skills.
  • Must be open to receiving constructive criticism from senior management as a guide to success.
  • Candidates MUST be able and willing to work a flexible schedule- including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must also be in possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and work collaboratively with other members of senior management to achieve daily, weekly, and quarterly goals.
  • Assist in driving business to profitability and continuously promote sales.
  • Execute company initiatives as assigned.
  • Lead by example and enforce Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices consistently.
  • Ensure protocols are enforced to prevent waste and theft.
  • Establish goals, anticipate and resolve problems in all aspects of the AOR.
  • Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and compliance are always maintained.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, compliance regulations, inspections, etc.
  • Directly handle customer-related issues through email, phone and in person promptly.
  • Send End of Day (EOD) report to include key performance indicators.
  • Routine review of staffing pars to ensure alignment with upcoming events and reservations.
  • Work alongside other management to maintain the most efficient operation of our dining room, bar, kitchen, event space.
  • Foster positive Company culture, build morale, and create on-going positive work environment and maintain a productive and professional workforce.
  • Oversee proper and continued training of F.O.H. staff.
  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and monitor performance of F.O.H. staff.
  • Conduct disciplinary action as needed, in partnership with HR and in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct staff meetings regularly to ensure effective and clear communication.
  • Ensure safe working environment.
  • Ensure proper and timely reporting of all incidents, injuries, accidents through proper channels.
  • Handle personnel issues in partnership with HR when needed.
  • Clearly communicate and train staff on company updates, policy changes, and initiatives in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain the F.O.H. schedule (servers, support staff) weekly.
  • Assist Store Manager with weekly inventory.
  • Assist Store Manager with receiving, rotating, and restock incoming bar inventory.
  • Maintain, enforce, and clearly communicate cleaning standards to team members.
  • Strive to create the best sports viewing and entertainment experience possible at all times, which includes ensuring:
  • TV programming is prepared to show as many live sporting events as possible.
  • A/V services are in place to provide entertainment experiences to all or portions of the restaurant and patio.
