About The Position

As the Assistant Store Director, you’ll be at the heart of our Coffee Marketplace operations by supporting the Store Director and leading a talented team to deliver extraordinary guest experiences. Your goal? To combine exceptional hospitality with a passion for coffee, food, and retail, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, memorable visit. Requirements

  • Food & Beverage Leadership: At least 2 years of supervisory experience in coffee, café, or food service operations or comparable high volume guest service-oriented environment.
  • Coffee Enthusiasm: A passion for coffee and a commitment to quality, bringing connoisseurship and care to every drink served.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team to perform at their best.
  • Service Mindset: Dedication to creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Positive Energy: A collaborative, upbeat approach that fosters a fun and supportive workplace.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health department regulations; Servsafe food management certification or the ability to successfully pass the certification test after employment.
  • Be prepared to stand, walk, and move throughout the store during your shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally reach, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and Lead: Partner with the Store Director to uphold our company’s vision and values, motivating your team to create a welcoming, inclusive, and energetic environment.
  • Coffee & Food Operations: Support daily coffee bar and food service operations ensuring every beverage and food item meets quality standards while maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Drive Excellence: Assist in managing store operations with focus on guest service, food & beverage preparation, inventory control, and sales growth.
  • Collaborate and Grow: Help recruit, train, and develop a high-performing, diverse team that delivers both outstanding guest service and excellence in food & beverage execution.
  • Guest Service Excellence: Ensure every guest receives exceptional service—whether ordering a latte, discovering marketplace products, or enjoying the café atmosphere.
  • Merchandising & Marketplace: Support product presentation and merchandising strategies that highlight both our unique coffee offerings and curated marketplace selections.
  • Operational Support: Assist with scheduling, payroll, and financial objectives in alignment with company standards.
