About The Position

The Assistant Steward is responsible for the oversight and day to day operations within Food & Beverage for Dreamscape’s new Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This position will directly manage and provide oversight to the Supervisor and hourly Stewarding team members in multiple outlets. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of progressive hospitality operations experience.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays as business demands.
  • Organizational skills, solution-driven, analytical thinker.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills which include being able to comfortably sell new ideas/strategies at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive with an attention to detail.
  • Able to set priorities, work schedules, and meet department deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • At least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading large teams, both in a bargaining and non-bargaining environment.
  • Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage management systems (Kronos, Stratton Warren, Workday), technical knowledge of data analytics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a detailed and running inventory of OS&E, CG&S, FF&E and smallware by outlet.
  • Provide support for Convention, Catering and Banquet set up needs.
  • Oversee and train for proper cleaning chemical use and safety throughout all Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Oversee completion of cleaning schedules and outlet cleaning assignments to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Provide guidance for proper chemical usage and cleaning procedures in all outlets.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships on behalf of Dreamscape-Rio Las Vegas.
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards within all restaurants and Food and Beverage spaces.
  • Uphold policies and procedures in areas of oversight to ensure elevated guest service standards.
  • Assess and communicate operational opportunities with Food and Beverage leadership.
  • Ensure proper ordering and inventory in all areas of oversight.
  • Engage in the financial performance and analytic metrics in all areas of oversight.
  • Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
