About The Position

The Assistant Service Manager plays a key role in supporting the Service Manager by overseeing daily service operations, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with solid automotive knowledge and hands-on dealership experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Service Manager, Service Advisor, or similar dealership role
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and dealership service operations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle customer concerns professionally
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • General Motors and CDK (Dealer Management System) experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and profitability
  • Support service advisors and technicians to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Review repair orders, monitor shop workflow, and ensure timely completion of work
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide repair updates, cost estimates, and post-service follow-up
  • Manage warranty claims and ensure compliance with GM standards
  • Help train, coach, and motivate service staff to meet performance goals
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure availability of necessary parts for repairs
  • Monitor key performance metrics and assist with reporting to dealership leadership
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional service environment
