About The Position

The Assistant Safety & Security Manager supports the Security Manager in safeguarding the wellbeing of guests, colleagues, and property assets at Amangiri. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, discreet, and secure environment through daily operations, incident management, training, and supervision of the security team. Acting as a hands-on leader, the Assistant Manager ensures that all safety and security procedures are carried out consistently, while helping to foster a culture of vigilance, discretion, and guest care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in safety and security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Fire Safety and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive situations with discretion, particularly in luxury or high-profile environments.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CCTV and access control systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • High standards of integrity, discipline, and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and work indoors/outdoors in varying climates.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Security Manager in overseeing daily resort security operations, including patrols, surveillance systems, key control, and access management.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of security officers, ensuring adherence to Aman’s service and professionalism standards.
  • Assist with fire, life, and safety programs; coordinate and participate in regular drills and safety training.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, guest concerns, and emergencies, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up.
  • Maintain communication with local authorities and support external liaison efforts as needed.
  • Conduct spot checks, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Assist in managing departmental scheduling, payroll, and documentation, including incident and investigation reports.
  • Partner with HR and department leaders on staff safety programs, workplace accident prevention, and training initiatives.
  • Support financial oversight by helping track departmental expenses and controlling costs without compromising safety standards.
  • Act as Security Manager during times of absence, ensuring seamless operations.
