About The Position
Assistant Nurse Manager (Temporary Position) in our Labor and Delivery unit at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This position is Temporary, Full-Time role that is benefits eligible. Our fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit has the privilege of welcoming more than 2,600 babies into the world each year. Opportunities for our RNs range from working with the laboring patient, circulating in the OR, PACU services and high-risk postpartum and OB triage patients seen for emergent conditions. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift. The ANM is responsible for supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and providing managerial presence for all shifts. The ANM is responsible for managing clinical and non-clinical caregivers and providing input to the director/manager for evaluation purposes related to performance. Duties include but not limited to compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements; implementing and monitoring compliance to policies, processes and clinical priorities, coaching, mentoring and collaborating to deliver quality health care to patients. Requirements
- Graduate from School of Nursing (BSN)
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

- Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
