Join the prestigious team at Doyle’s Irish Pub located within Saint John’s Resort adjacent to the new Cardinal championship golf course. We are seeking an experienced service driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support leadership of our reimagined upscale Irish pub. This is a hands on leadership role within a high visibility restaurant environment offering the opportunity to shape the guest experience in one of Plymouth’s most distinctive dining destinations. About Doyles Irish Pub Our recently opened pub offers a two story dining room expansive bar and terrace overlooking the golf course blending historic Irish character with a modern elevated guest experience. Our culinary and beverage programs are rooted in quality seasonality and a genuine sense of place with menus that celebrate Irish inspiration while embracing local farms breweries and purveyors. Every detail of the experience is intentional warm and refined without ever feeling formal or distant. Position Overview The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in shaping the daily guest experience and the culture behind it. You are a constant presence on the floor leading through action observation and engagement. You understand that great service is not scripted but created through awareness timing and genuine human connection. You coach your team to anticipate needs read the room and deliver thoughtful moments that feel personal and memorable rather than transactional. You help build an environment where hospitality is instinctive standards are consistent and the team takes pride in exceeding expectations. This role requires someone who can balance operational discipline with creativity holding the team accountable to high standards while also encouraging individuality warmth and a sense of ownership in the guest experience. You are as comfortable directing service during a busy dinner rush as you are developing a new server or refining the flow of service to improve both efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required post secondary education preferred
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience in food and beverage
  • Experience in restaurants pubs or high volume environments preferred
  • ServSafe certification required or the ability to obtain within a specified time period
  • Valid food safety and sanitation certifications as required by state and local regulations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with both guests and team members
  • Proven leadership ability with a focus on coaching and development
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Solid understanding of full service restaurant operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead all front of house operations within Doyles Irish Pub
  • Maintain a strong visible presence on the floor during service ensuring every guest interaction reflects our standards
  • Coach and develop team members in real time focusing on anticipation personalization and attention to detail
  • Assist with hiring onboarding and training with an emphasis on building a team that embodies genuine hospitality
  • Ensure consistent execution of food beverage service safety and sanitation standards
  • Create a culture of accountability where feedback is direct supportive and continuous
  • Encourage creative thoughtful touches that elevate the guest experience and create lasting impressions
  • Assist with scheduling payroll and administrative responsibilities
  • Support inventory management and ordering processes
  • Collaborate closely with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure alignment in execution and experience
  • Step in wherever needed to support the team and the operation
