Cornell Tech is Cornell University’s state-of-the-art campus in New York City that develops leaders and technologies for the AI era through foundational and applied research, graduate education, and new ventures. Located on Roosevelt Island, the growing campus was founded in partnership with the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and in close collaboration with the NYC Economic Development Corporation after Cornell won a worldwide competition initiated by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s administration to create an applied sciences campus in New York City. More than 1,000 Cornell students are now educated annually on the campus, including 700 in Cornell Tech programs. Since opening in 2012, nearly 120 new companies have spun out from startup programs at Cornell Tech, and 95 percent of them are based in New York City. Cornell Tech continues to have a transformative economic impact on the region’s tech sector . Enrollment representatives within Cornell’s colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University’s enrollment goals. The position serves as the key liaison between the Cornell Tech campus, the Office of the University Registrar, and respective school/college registrar offices located in Ithaca, NY. The Assistant Registrar will collaborate with Assistant Dean of Graduate Education, Associate Deans, Program Directors, Program Coordinators, university registrar, and school/college registrar staff to develop and maintain degree audit processes, course and class scheduling in university and internal systems, ensure ongoing student registration and enrollments, student enrollment in all identified program courses, and assist in processing visiting students’ matriculation status. The Assistant Registrar will collect, compile, and produce reports for student matriculation and enrollment status, class enrollments, etc. for the Technion and other internal operations use. The Assistant Registrar will create and/or distribute, maintain, and provide analysis on class and faculty evaluations for Cornell Tech classes. Represent Registrar and Student Services at meetings in the Office of the University Registrar, and additional cross-campus meetings as needed. Other duties include special projects as assigned by the Registrar. Required to disseminate sensitive and confidential information regarding student records in accordance with university and college policies and FERPA regulations.
