About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of the Registrar invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar of External Records. This position reports to the Registrar and works closely with the Associate Registrar, Assistant Registrars, Systems Analyst, and campus constituents to develop priorities and timelines for projects related to Southeastern's academic policies and procedures. The Assistant Registrar will manage the external record processing of admitted students to include transcripts and test scores. In addition, this position will coordinate the awarding of prior learning credits as outlined in the University’s catalog and maintain the Transfer Equivalency System to include equivalency rules for all articulated credits. Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license and the ability to complete the Southeastern Driver Safety Course.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by hire date
  • Experience in an educational or business environment.
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license and the ability to complete the Southeastern Driver Safety Course.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university
  • University experience in records, registration, advising, or curriculum.
  • Experience with Workday
  • Higher education experience in admissions, academic records, or academic advising.
  • Complete knowledge of transcript articulation, test score credit equivalencies, and audit processes.
  • Experience with a higher education student information system or Enterprise Resource Planning software, experience troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as creating, refining and managing processes for efficiency.
  • Must be committed to working with diverse populations and demonstrating care both personally and professionally.
  • Excellent oral/written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and multi tasking skills
