About The Position

The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First Region is seeking a full-time attorney in our Defuniak Springs, FL office who will be responsible for Dependency case work in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The qualified applicant should have a basic understanding of Courtroom advocacy in dependency-related matters and must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar. The Attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, including non-jury trials, TPRs, motion practice, and should have the motivation and ability to cover cases on multiple dockets. Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research and writing legal documents and filings, and providing an ongoing assessment of the merits of a case. The position is a full time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits with a salary range commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience.
