The Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Service Projects supports the planning, coordination, and execution of fast-paced HVAC and plumbing service projects. This role works closely with Service Project Managers, field teams, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow into a full Project Manager role within a dynamic service environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, or service operations (internships or field experience considered)
  • Basic understanding of HVAC/mechanical systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills with both field and office teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to spend time both in the office and in the field

Nice To Haves

  • experience with Procore or similar tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing multiple service projects from kickoff through completion
  • Support bid preparation, scope development, and cost tracking for negotiated work
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, field teams, and vendors to support scheduling and execution
  • Track material procurement to ensure timely delivery to job sites
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, and reports
  • Participate in job walkthroughs and site meetings as needed
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with reviewing drawings, site conditions, and project requirements
  • Help resolve field issues related to scope, materials, or scheduling
  • Monitor project progress and escalate issues to Project Managers as needed
  • Support safety compliance and job site standards
  • Build relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
