The Assistant Project Manager reports to the assigned Project Manager and is responsible for supporting the Field activities of the project management team. The Assistant Project Manager shall generally be responsible for assisting with planning, scheduling, assisting with estimating and maintaining detailed and accurate documentation on assigned projects. The Assistant Project Manager will also work with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent or Management to define the requirements for each project. This person will also be responsible for assisting with coordinating field activities to ensure efficient use of company resources and while providing quality control oversight of assigned projects. The Assistant Project Manager shall maintain constructive relationships with clients and other contacts in order to ensure their satisfaction with the work performed by Starr Electric and to further this work. This position requires an individual who is a team player with strong inter-personal and organizational skills, effective attention to detail skills, the ability to problem solve, manage multiple projects and the ability to adjust work accordingly to adapt to tight deadlines. Extensive administrative assistant experience required, preferably in the construction or service industry. Additional responsibilities may include responding to non-routine correspondence as well as assembling highly confidential and sensitive information.
