About The Position

The Assistant Project Engineer is responsible for creating order, structure, and traceability across DrinkPAK’s engineering documentation, master data, and technical standards. This role maintains the engineering document library, manages revision control, updates CAD drawings, builds functional design specifications, and ensures every project leaves behind clean, searchable, reusable engineering assets. The specialist acts as the custodian of engineering knowledge—transforming what was previously tribal, inconsistent, or scattered into a disciplined, standardized system that supports capital projects, operations, and long‑term scalability. This role is a Documentation, Data Integrity & Technical Standards Leader.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering document control, technical data management, CAD support, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of document control practices, version control, and document lifecycle workflows.
  • Experience with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, MasterControl, DocuWare) and metadata standards.
  • Ability to manage master data (equipment lists, tag lists, BOMs) with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain data integrity across multiple systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, project management, OEMs, and operations teams.
  • Process‑oriented mindset with the ability to create structure, standardization, and repeatable workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the engineering document library, including naming conventions, metadata standards, revision control, and as‑built accuracy.
  • Build and update functional design specifications, capability matrices, technical bid packages, and engineering reference documents.
  • Support CAD updates, drawing management, redlines, and vendor documentation intake; ensure all drawings meet DrinkPAK standards.
  • Manage engineering master data—including equipment lists, tag lists, and BOMs—ensuring alignment across ERP, CMMS, and project systems.
  • Create structure, traceability, and standardized workflows so every project leaves behind clean, reusable engineering assets.
  • Implement document control processes, version control practices, and document lifecycle workflows consistent with industry standards.
  • Coordinate distribution, access control, and archival of controlled documents across Engineering Services, Projects, and Operations.
  • Validate vendor submittals, technical manuals, and engineering packages for completeness and compliance.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and engineering governance activities by preparing accurate documentation packages.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and OEM partners to ensure documentation requirements are met throughout project phases.
