Assistant Project Engineer - Traffic
About The Position
Assist in design, construction, and inspection of road, traffic, bridge, and culvert projects. Assist Traffic, Bridge, and Design/Construction Engineers with data collection, field observations, analyses, and reporting as directed. Perform daily inspections and generate the necessary paperwork for projects. Inspect construction of streets in new plats. Coordinate with contractors, public agencies, utility companies, and general public to solve the problems that arise during the course of design and construction. Make daily reports and pay estimates on contractors' work. Assist with final payments on construction projects and completing project records. Determine work to be done and give direction as needed in the construction of roads, bridges, and culverts. Complete and maintain administration/training requirements related to the position. Take charge or assist in project planning and enforcement of regulations. All candidates offered employment must pass a drug test including THC and will be subject to randoms during their employment with the Kent County Road Commission.
