Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year of experience working with persons with disabilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to possess a State of CT Public Service License.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings and locations.
  • Maintain PMT, CPR, and DDS medication certification.
  • Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office and the internet.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Residential Facility Manager in the operation of the residence.
  • Schedule staff and orient employees.
  • Participate in the Inservice program.
  • Ensure adherence to Kennedy Collective and DDS regulations and policies.
  • Participate in all Quality Service Reviews.
  • Train and supervise all assigned staff.
  • Monitor and approve staff's timecards and PTO requests in ADP.
  • Supervise and coordinate monthly calendars and recreational activities.
  • Manage petty cash and purchases for the programs within budget guidelines.
  • Provide professional and timely communication with co-workers, supervisor, families, and guardians.
  • Record and maintain individuals' records in Therap, including data entry and case notes.
  • Audit staff's entries into Therap for compliance.
  • Work with the program nurse to meet all medical needs of individuals.
  • Administer medications in accordance with DDS regulations.
  • Advocate for individuals and teach them self-advocacy.
  • Ensure protection of individuals' rights and safety by following HIPAA regulations.
  • Intervene in emergencies or behavioral situations as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring timely completion of GER's, DDS 255, and critical incident reports.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Transport individuals to community sites as required.
  • Complete annual assessments as assigned.
  • Accompany individuals on community outings.
  • Ensure all wellness checks are completed and documented.
  • Be on call as scheduled.
  • Audit Easy clocking system entries for accuracy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
