About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Program Manager to serve and support the coordination and implementation of Cleft Lip/Palate (CLT) and Cataract (CAT) surgical programs worldwide. Come join our team! In the role of Assistant Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. Support Program Manager in oversight of CLP/CAT programming in assigned countries, ensuring activities align with program goals and organizational standards. Serve as co-team leader on multiple, designated CLP/CAT missions, providing leadership to volunteer teams in preparation for and during surgical missions. Address challenges as they arise, resolve logistical issues, maintain effective communication with local medical personnel, and manage/lead volunteers during surgical deployments (approx. 5-6 teams per year). Recruit and select qualified CLP/CAT team medical volunteers, network at conferences, and build relationships with new volunteers. Provide research assistance to help develop evangelism and spiritual care strategies for beneficiaries. Track and report on ministry engagement and outcomes. Ensure all medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment are available for CLP/CAT missions and assist PM with order placement and post-mission inventory. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with hospital partners, volunteers, and government officials to support program growth. Conduct initial research and due diligence on new program opportunities. Support communication and reporting with local stakeholders, and engage and train volunteers for upcoming missions year-round. Build out national CLP/CAT program sponsorships and oversee locally sponsored campaigns, ensuring they are complaint with programmatic standards. Ensures accurate data and reporting. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and program guidelines for CLP/CAT teams. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Nursing degree and three (3) to (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active RN or advanced practice nursing license required.
  • International experience required.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
  • Fluency in English (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience leading cross cultural teams strongly preferred.
