Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 1+ year experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment required
  • 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Sound judgment in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health regulations and compliance standards

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Support daily program operations to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery
  • Collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to address client needs and improve services
  • Oversee resident services, including social, recreational, and enrichment programming
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage
  • Monitor documentation in the EMR for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Support audits, KPI tracking, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct chart reviews, observations, and quality assurance activities
  • Help develop and refine program policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Step in to facilitate groups as needed based on program needs
  • Build relationships with referral sources and community partners
  • Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Housekeeping, and Dietary staff
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and progressive discipline
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
