This position is with the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative (ETSI), one of the flagship programs of the Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion Based-Ethics . This international program is primarily based within Tibetan monastic educational institutions in India. Responsibilities include communicating with volunteer science faculty at Emory and other universities, as well as program collaborators in India, requiring the ability to work cross-culturally. The ideal candidate will be sensitive to cross-cultural differences, able to learn and track foreign names of people and places, comfortable working in all aspects of Microsoft Office including Excel, and have an interest in the intersection between science and spirituality. The person in this position will work closely with the Associate Director for ETSI but should be capable of taking initiative on projects and working independently. Attention to detail and working to deadlines are extremely important. This is a two-year term position with possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
