About The Position

The Department of Epidemiology seeks a dynamic individual to join our faculty as a Public Health Informatics ( PHI ) faculty member. Our department is committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service, focusing on understanding and promoting population health. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where faculty can thrive and contribute significantly to the field. This tenure-leading position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and lead a vibrant Public Health Informatics program within an established and well-respected Department of Epidemiology. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to cutting-edge research, teach innovative courses, and engage in meaningful service activities that benefit the public health community.

Requirements

  • PhD or similar in Public Health Epidemiology, Informatics, Information Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at the graduate level.
  • A record of scholarship in public health informatics, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience with informatics solutions, data science, data integration, analysis, and visualization tools relevant to public health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
