The Assistant Professor will focus on building a successful academic career while making meaningful contributions to the discipline, department, and College of Medicine. Primary responsibilities include 50% clinical activity, 20% administrative time, and 10% academic time aligned with college expectations and personal career goals.

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion in pediatric residency program.
  • Focused training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Arkansas medical licensure.
  • Board eligible or board certification in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in alignment with the mission and goals of the College of Medicine.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, with a focus on addressing the healthcare needs of children in Arkansas.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the development of educational programs within the College of Medicine.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, such as research, presentations, or quality improvement initiatives, consistent with personal academic goals and College expectations.
