About The Position

The Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Louisville is seeking qualified applicants for Clinical Assistant Professor position in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities include teaching Hematology/Oncology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students; providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up; and participating in clinical service, on-call coverage, and service rotations at University of Louisville Health hospitals and clinics. Additional duties include contributing to clinical trials, basic science and translational research; supporting the development and advancement of multidisciplinary cancer programs; and designing and contributing to protocol development and prospective clinical research. Faculty will practice at the University of Louisville Medical Center, Norton Hospital, and other affiliated hospitals and clinics in Louisville and Southern Kentucky (Shepherdsville). Qualifications include board certification/eligible in Medical Oncology & Hematology specialties. The recruit is expected to devote a significant portion of their time to protocol development and prospective clinical research.

Requirements

  • Medical degree: MD, MD/PhD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Oncology & Hematology Fellowship Training program
  • Board certification/eligible in Medical Oncology & Hematology specialties
