About The Position

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Missouri State University seeks a tenure-track (9-month) Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will have a well-defined research program in an area of mathematics that complements department interests (analysis, algebra, machine learning and data science, combinatorics), be committed to innovative teaching, and have post-doctoral experience.

Responsibilities

• teaching of mathematics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level
• curriculum development
• engaging in research leading to peer-reviewed publications
• supervising student research/projects
• service to the Mathematics department, College of Natural and Applied Science, Missouri State University, the local/regional community and the profession
