California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Department of Technology & Operations Management. Student Population. Cal Poly Pomona is the number one polytechnic university in the nation for student diversity and economic mobility. College of Business Administration : The College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and has been recognized by the Princeton Review, which included us in its 2011 edition of “Best 300 Business Schools,” and U.S. News and World Report that continually ranks us as one of the premier master’s-level public universities in the West. One business undergraduate degree is offered with several options, including Technology and Operations Management and E-Business and others. The College also supports multiple graduate programs including MBA, MS Business Analytics, MS Digital Supply Chain Management, MS Information Security, MS Accountancy etc. Department of Technology and Operations Management : The Department has 10 tenure-track faculty members and approximately 550 undergraduate and graduate students, with majority of them coming from underrepresented groups. The department offers upper division business courses in two concentrations: Technology and Operations Management and E-Business, supports MBA programs, and hosts two graduate programs: Master of Science in Business Analytics and Master of Science in Digital Supply Chain Management. Position description : Technology and Operations Management Department invites applications for one tenure track faculty positions. The new faculty members will teach in-person undergraduate and graduate classes primarily in Supply Chain/Operations Management and E-Business related subjects, especially introduction to artificial intelligence technologies in business and supply chain network design. Integration of modern supply chain technologies such as data management and business analytics subjects into the curriculum is a high priority strategic goal of the department and the candidates are expected to provide significant support and contribution toward this goal. The successful candidates must have a strong interest in research and scholarly activities and are expected to provide university/college/department services. Applicants whose work incorporates a global perspective and a commitment to diversity in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• A Ph.D./DBA with concentration in Business Analytics and Operations
• At least one year of full-time university teaching experience at an AACSB-accredited university
• Demonstrated research excellence in journal publications.
• Demonstrated record for excellence in teaching.
• A commitment and a record of contributions to student success through applicant’s teaching, scholarship, or service.
