The Auburn University Social Work Program within the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, with appointment beginning August 2026. Tenure will be earned in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work. The candidate's primary appointment will be in the graduate program with some teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program. This position is in-person but may have options for occasional online teaching. The area of expertise is open, but the program is especially interested in candidates with a specialization in military social work, trauma-informed care, health, mental health, or child welfare. The teaching load is 3/2 across the Social Work curriculum with a reduced load for the first two years (2/2). This is a full-time, 9-month appointment.
