About The Position

This is a full-time, in-person position, and applicants seeking only remote opportunities should not apply. Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Psychology; however, ABD applicants with relevant teaching and research experience will also be considered. We are seeking candidates with experience in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduate students in Developmental Psychology, particularly in child-related areas.

Requirements

  • A teaching statement

  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., a summary of quantitative and qualitative course evaluation data)

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates who can teach additional child-related courses such as Social Development, Language Development, Adolescent Development, and Child Psychopathology.

Responsibilities

  • Academic advising of undergraduate students
  • Mentoring independent study, undergraduate research projects, and internships
  • Departmental service (e.g., supervising the Honor Society)
  • Holding regular office hours
  • Attending department and faculty meetings
  • Teach Child Development
  • Teach Lifespan Development
  • Teach Other child-related courses ((e.g. Social, Language, Adolescent Development)
  • Teach General Psychology
  • Teach Research Methods
  • Teach Senior Seminar (in area of specialty)
