Seeking new knowledge and deeper understanding of music in interdisciplinary contexts through innovative research, music performance, and creative activity, The College of Music at Florida State University is the largest such college in the Southeast and one of the largest university-based music programs in the nation. We are home to over 600 undergraduate and over 300 graduate students, who represent nearly every state in the nation and 26 foreign countries.

Requirements

• A completed doctoral degree at the time of appointment or demonstrate a record of equivalent performance and teaching experience.
• A record of successful university-level teaching experience and proven artistry as a professional performer.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate-level piano students.
• Recruit and maintain a successful teaching studio.
• Serve on doctoral and master's committees and juries.
• Maintain a professional career as a performing artist.
• Participate in university and professional service activities nationally and internationally as appropriate.
• Additional responsibilities may include chamber music coaching, and teaching courses such as piano literature, duo piano, and graduate piano seminar.
