About The Position

Marshall University (School of Medicine), Huntington, WV, seeks an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Hepatology to provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for patients on an outpatient basis at School of Medicine affiliated clinics and on an inpatient basis at its affiliated hospitals. Position will participate in clinical practice/teaching opportunities with medical residents/fellows and students and will initiate and complete clinical research with students and residents/fellows as part of their scholarly activities.

Requirements

• Medical degree or foreign equivalent.
• Must board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Must have completed a 12-month fellowship program in Hepatology.
• Must have a full and unrestricted West Virginia medical license at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for patients on an outpatient basis at School of Medicine affiliated clinics and on an inpatient basis at its affiliated hospitals.
• Participate in clinical practice/teaching opportunities with medical residents/fellows and students
• Initiate and complete clinical research with students and residents/fellows as part of their scholarly activities.
