About The Position

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure track position in Mathematics with the rank of Assistant Professor. The position begins in August 2026. The teaching load is 12 credits for the first year, with a standard load of 15 credits per year thereafter. Candidates from all areas of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and related fields, such as Operations Research and Mathematical Physics, are invited to apply. Join a dynamic and diverse group of mathematicians and statisticians with varied research interests. Our program features robust undergraduate majors and minors in mathematics and in statistics, an MA in Mathematics, and an MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science. Our department currently has 45 full-time faculty members across mathematics and statistics and is known for its collegiality. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related field (or near completion).
