About The Position

Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement Requirements. The Department of Chemistry at the University of Akron ( https://www.uakron.edu/chemistry) invites applications for Two (non-tenure track) Assistant Professor position starting in August 2026. The mission of the Department of Chemistry is to provide high quality undergraduate education through community-engaged teaching, research, and service. (Physics faculty are members of the Chemistry Department). As an urban research university, The University of Akron strives to deliver applied and community-connected educational experiences. Requirements

  • This position requires a Ph.D. in Physics or closely-related fields.
