About The Position

Ashland University Dauch College of Business and Economics is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Management for a tenure/tenure-track position available August 2023. The candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering and undergraduate and graduate level courses in Supply Chain Management. The Dauch College of Business and Economics has 19 faculty members in four departments. The College offers 14 undergraduate majors and the MBA degree, serving approximately 500 undergraduate and 600 MBA students. The College is housed in a state-of-the-art building completed in 2004. All classrooms are equipped with advanced instructional technology. The College has been accredited by the ACBSP for over 20 years, and is actively pursuing initial AACSB accreditation. The Department of Management is one of four departments within the College. Including the department chair, there are six faculty members in the department. The department includes majors in Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Manufacturing Management, and Supply Chain Management, and currently has more than 100 undergraduate majors and 70 minors. MBA specializations in numerous areas are also offered. The Industrial Engineering program is launching in the fall of 2023 and the faculty member would be instrumental in supporting the program launch.

Requirements

  • Excellence in teaching is required
  • Candidates must hold an earned doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate field
  • Must have recent peer-reviewed publications and/or hold a recent doctorate in order to meet the Scholarly Academic qualification status
  • Previous teaching experience, including demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a technology-facilitated environment as well as in a traditional classroom setting is a requirement

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience and ability to teach other courses in the College, including in the areas of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management and Supply Chain is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Supply Chain Management
  • Conduct scholarly activities in their area of concentration to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status
  • Participate in service activities to the University, community, and profession
  • Supporting the Industrial Engineering program launch
