APPOINTMENT: Tenure-track appointment beginning August 20, 2026 RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Geographic Information Sciences with specialization in Geographic Information Science and Remote Sensing. The successful candidate will: (1) teach undergraduate and graduate students; (2) conduct research/scholarly activities and publications; (3) direct students in graduate and undergraduate research; (4) engage in service to the University and the community; (5) willing to partner with the GIS Center. RANK & SALARY: Assistant Professor, tenure-track. 9-month appointment; $7,242 per month. Western Illinois University employees may be eligible for a variety of State of Illinois benefits.
