About The Position

Tenure-track and tenured faculty members typically teach three classes per semester. Our new colleague will teach courses in their area of specialization and also contribute to our popular offerings such as the introductory course in GWS , “Sex, Gender, and Power,” “Introduction to LGBT Studies,” or “Global Women’s Issues.” Faculty maintain active peer-reviewed research agendas and participate fully in the life of the program, department, and university.

Requirements

  • Recent, ongoing scholarship in gender, women’s, and/or sexuality studies
  • Experience teaching or potential to teach courses with content or methods consistent with gender, women’s, and/or sexuality studies
  • Ph.D. in gender, women’s, and/or sexuality studies—or in a related field with demonstrated commitment to gender, women’s, and/or sexuality studies
  • ABD applicants will be considered for this position, but evidence of successful defense of the dissertation must be received by July 31 for a fall hire.
