About The Position

MSSU is seeking candidates for an Environmental Health and Safety teaching position in our Environmental Health and Safety EHS Program beginning as soon as August 2026 The EHS Program holds accreditation from the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council and is a Board of Certified Safety Professionals Qualified Academic Program QAP The program offers a BS and BAS in EHS Successful candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate public health and environmental science related courses in both face to face and online formats

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence scholarly activity and advising at the undergraduate level
  • A PhD in Public Health Environmental Health and Safety Biological Sciences Environmental Sciences or a closely related area field is preferred; however candidates who are ABD or have an earned MPH with career experience are encouraged to apply
  • Provide a detailed letter of application curriculum vitae copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts as well as the names and contact information of three professional references
  • Official transcripts are required 45 days after contract is issued
  • Employment is contingent upon a background check
