About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ( ECE ) at Oakland University (OU) invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Electromagnetics and Electronics starting in August 2019. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in electromagnetics, electromagnetic compatibility, electronic circuit devices and design, advanced electronics, high-frequency electronics, and instrumentation and measurements. Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree or nearing completion of their doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering or related fields. Research and teaching with commitment to excellence is required. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories, initiate and integrate strong research programs, direct graduate students, and attract external research funding. Oakland University is a nationally recognized doctoral research institution located on 1,443 acres of scenic land in the cities of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills in Oakland County, Michigan. The University has 132 bachelor’s degree programs and 138 graduate degree and certificate programs. Academics include programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education and Human Services, School of Engineering and Computer Science, School of Health Sciences, School of Medicine and School of Nursing. Requirements

  • Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Candidates who are ABD and near completion will be considered if they can demonstrate evidence of completing degree requirements by August 15, 2019.
