Assistant Professor of Clinical - Neurology, General/Headache
About The Position
The Department of Neurology, Division of Headache has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Professor of Clinic. The incumbent will be appointed at the rank of non-tenure earning Assistant Professor Level on the clinical educator track in the Headache Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. The candidate will carry out clinical care primarily at Neurology main clinic and/or satellite clinics . The incumbent will participate in the education of neurology residents and fellows. This position will be reporting to the Chief of the Division of Headache Neurology.
Requirements
- Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited Uni versity (or foreign equivalent).
- Fellowship in Headache Neurology
- E ligible to acquire a valid Florida medical license
- Board certified in Neurology
- Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other employees.
- Good organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings throughout Uhealth
- Train/mentor residents and fellows to increase their clinical fund of knowledge and interest/success with academic research
- Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
- Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
