About The Position

Wiley University's School of Business and Social Sciences invites applications for a full-time faculty position supporting our undergraduate and graduate business programs, including the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), the Master of Business Administration (MBA), and the Executive Ph.D. in Business Administration. We seek a dynamic scholar-practitioner who brings strong disciplinary expertise, a robust research agenda, and a demonstrated commitment to developing the next generation of business leaders. The successful candidate will contribute meaningfully to teaching, scholarship, and service across all program levels — undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral — including direct engagement with graduate students in research, advisement, and professional development. Candidates with expertise in one or more emerging or specialized areas of business are especially encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Business Administration, Management, or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution
  • Demonstrated capacity or strong potential to deliver effective, student-centered instruction at the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral levels
  • Evidence of an active or emerging scholarly agenda appropriate to a faculty role at a teaching-focused institution with graduate programs
  • Experience with or demonstrated readiness to supervise graduate-level research, advise doctoral students, and serve on dissertation committees
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and intellectually rigorous learning environment
  • Willingness to engage collaboratively in curriculum review, program assessment, and departmental initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching MBA-level coursework and advising graduate students in applied business research, capstone projects, or professional development
  • Demonstrated experience supervising doctoral dissertations, serving on dissertation committees, or directing graduate thesis research
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Faith-Based Administration and Ethics in Leadership; Artificial Intelligence and Business Applications; Data Science, Business Analytics, and Data-Driven Decision Making; and/or Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and New Venture Development
  • Professional experience in industry, consulting, nonprofit leadership, or entrepreneurial ventures that enriches classroom instruction and student mentorship
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications, externally funded research, or equivalent scholarly or professional contributions
  • Experience teaching in online, hybrid, or executive education formats
  • Familiarity with ACBSP, AACSB, or other business accreditation frameworks and associated assessment practices
  • Previous experience advising student organizations, business incubators, or entrepreneurship programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to mentoring students from historically underrepresented communities toward graduate study and professional leadership

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business administration, which may include core courses in Management, Organizational Behavior, Business Strategy, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and/or specialized electives aligned with the candidate's area of expertise across BBA, MBA, and doctoral program levels
  • Contribute to the MBA program through teaching graduate-level coursework, advising MBA students on academic and professional development, and supporting capstone or applied research projects
  • Contribute to the Executive Ph.D. in Business Administration program, including teaching doctoral seminars, supervising dissertation research, and serving on dissertation committees
  • Provide rigorous advisement and mentoring to doctoral students throughout all phases of the program, from coursework through prospectus defense and dissertation completion
  • Guide students in the development of independent research skills, scholarly writing, and professional identity as emerging scholars and practitioners
  • Maintain an active scholarly agenda through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, funded research, or equivalent professional contributions appropriate to the discipline
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in business, management, consulting, entrepreneurship, or related fields
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement aligned with accreditation standards (ACBSP or equivalent)
  • Actively participate in departmental, school, and university service activities, including governance, committee work, and community engagement
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain currency with evolving business practices, research methodologies, and pedagogical innovations
  • Report to the Dean or designated administrator and contribute to the strategic goals of the School of Business
