About The Position

Designs and delivers instruction in undergraduate Biology lecture and laboratory courses offered by the School. Advises students, and participates in all department, various school, and University-wide committees and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers instruction for both lecture and laboratory for undergraduate courses that include Evolution and Ecology ( BIO 2424), Biostatistics ( BIO 2320), Conservation Biology ( BIO 3470), and two team-taught research courses ( BIO 3352 and BIO 4351), as well as a general education science course when needed.
  • Adheres to the established class schedule and office hours on a daily basis.
  • Submits textbook requests, syllabi, grades, assessments, and reports in a timely manner.
  • Remains knowledgeable of current research in the discipline by participating in conferences, publishing, and maintaining collaborative research relationships.
  • Participates in curriculum and program development.
  • Advises students for successful degree completion and pursuit of post baccalaureate training opportunities.
  • Participates in departmental, school, and university meetings and academic activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
