About The Position

The Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Science and Engineering Technology at Sam Houston State University seeks an individual broadly trained in Cell or Molecular Biology for a tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor.

Requirements

• B.S. and a Doctoral degree in a Life Sciences discipline.

• Postdoctoral research experience
• Area of research is open, but those with interests in Neurobiology, Molecular Genetics, Pathology, Cancer Biology or Molecular Toxicology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, lecture and lab courses in Eukaryotic Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Histology or Genetics.
• Develop upper-level undergraduate electives relevant to pre-medical students.
• Develop graduate courses in their area of expertise.
• Develop an externally funded research program involving undergraduates and masters-level graduate students in addition to conducting collaborative research within the Department of Biological Sciences.
