The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering department seeks multiple new full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professors in Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate engineering courses and labs, engaging in professional development activities, and providing services to the department and the university. The department is seeking candidates with the desire and ability to teach a broad range of mechanical engineering courses. Primary consideration will be given to candidates with a willingness to develop courses in emerging areas of Manufacturing and to teach Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Materials, and Design of Machine Elements. Secondary consideration will be given to those who can also teach Engineering Modeling & Design and Mechanisms and Machines. Candidates with strong backgrounds in other areas may be considered. Please see the curriculum as listed in the catalog. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
