About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Professor in Residence, School of Nursing. ROLE of the POSITION This is a search for an Assistant Professor-in Residence (Non-Tenure-Track) within the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities of an appointment are to (1) teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise; (2) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (3) use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning; (4) provide student supervision; (5) participate in school, university, professional and community service activities. Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year-round, using a trimester sequence. PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT/COLLEGE The School of Nursing at UNLV offers CCNE-accredited programs leading to a BSN, MS (nurse practitioner and nurse educator tracks), DNP, and PhD (Educator and Interprofessional Health concentrations and DNP to PhD). Requirements

  • Doctorate in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
  • an encumbered Nevada Registered Nurse License or ability to obtain prior to employment
