About The Position

The University of Kansas School of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an emergency medicine faculty member to be an integral member of emergency medicine team. The medical center is a comprehensive stroke center, STEMI & advanced cardiac care center, NCI-designated cancer center, and an active transplant center. This position will interact and collaborate with multiple departments and the various institutes throughout the KU Medical Center. The long-term vision is for growth within the Department of Emergency Medicine that will lead to long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • Education: M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D.
  • This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
  • License/Certification: Board Certified

Responsibilities

  • Clinical shifts in the emergency department
  • Clinical teaching of medical students and residents
  • Participation of formal didactic instruction to medical students and residents
