Assistant Professor - Elementary Mathematics Education
About The Position
We seek to hire an assistant professor with expertise in elementary mathematics education and teacher education. We are interested in a faculty member whose teaching practice is undergirded by contemporary research within mathematics and elementary teacher education; whose work demonstrates a strong commitment to equitable teaching practices, social justice and diversity; who has an interest in and/or experience with practice-based teacher education; and who is eager to work collaboratively within the department, across departments, and within our university-school partnerships. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- PhD or ABD if completed by August 15, 2019, in teacher education or a related field, with scholarly expertise in mathematics education
- Successful mathematics teaching experience in grades K-8
- A potential for accomplishment in scholarship
