The Department of Special Education invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in September of 2026. The successful candidate will work with both undergraduate and graduate students. Their teaching responsibilities will include courses in non-licensing and licensing Undergraduate and Graduate Special Education programs, as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Special Needs and Teacher of Students with Severe Special Needs. The selected individual will also be responsible for supervising student teachers and advising undergraduate and graduate students in the department's teaching licensure programs. The successful applicant will also collaborate with department faculty and engage with College of Education & Health Sciences colleagues and other internal and external partners on the assessment, refinement, and expansion of existing programs, and they will model effective practices relating to inclusiveness, student-centered teaching and social responsibility; this position requires regularly scheduled office hours for student consultation.
