SUNY Morrisville seeks an Assistant Professor to join our Criminal Justice faculty team. This person will focus on education at the undergraduate level. Program expansion, and curriculum development are expected from the successful candidate. SUNY Morrisville's Criminal Justice Department seeks qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track position in combined bachelor/associate degree programs in Criminal Justice. The successful candidate must possess the ability to teach a broad range of lower and upper division undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments will demand a strong dedication to hands-on instruction and application. Teaching responsibilities may include the areas of policing, corrections, crime scene investigations, diversity, emergency planning, internships, interviewing, staff misconduct, workplace violence, serial murder, victimization, white collar crime, terrorism, private security, arson and bomb. Oversight of program's lab and simulator areas and supervision of their use may be required during certain semesters. There is limited opportunity for research, but the person filling this position will also work with other Criminal Justice faculty on program/curriculum development, assessment, and review. Successful candidates will be responsible for engaging in regular professional development.
