Assistant Professor, Community Psychology (Tenure Track, F0415A)
About The Position
The Department of Psychology in the College of Sciences at Old Dominion University (ODU) seeks candidates for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to support our Ph.D. program with expertise in community psychology. Areas of potential research and teaching may include but are not limited to; ecological perspectives on health, structural determinants of health, community program evaluation, community level prevention and intervention, and innovative use of technology to address community-level challenges. The faculty member would be expected to align themselves within one of the concentrations of the Ph.D. program (i.e., Health, Clinical, or Human Factors), to be determined by their interests and research focus. This faculty member will be responsible for: Conducting high quality, programmatic research. Seeking external research funding. Teaching undergraduate courses to support the undergraduate psychology curriculum at ODU. Teaching graduate courses in the Psychology Department. Mentoring Ph.D. students.
