The Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate (Masters-level) courses, with a specialization in child and adolescent clinical psychology. Additional teaching expertise in area-specific topics such as child psychopathology and multicultural counseling are also desirable, and the candidate will be expected to teach additional courses based on departmental needs. Advising and engagement in departmental, college, and university services are also required. Our Clinical MS program, embedded within the Psychology department, trains students to become Licensed Mental Health Counselors who are recruited by employers in a variety of clinical settings. The position requires clinical experience and knowledge of community mental health policy and practice. The successful applicant will also be expected to remain clinically active in some capacity. In addition, we seek candidates whose expertise aligns with our philosophy of training students in the use of empirically supported treatments (e.g., behavior therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT-C, ERP, PCIT, TF-CBT).
