About The Position

You are curious, analytical, and excited about bringing products to life. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will support the development and execution of product and marketing strategies for a specific Jostens product category. Working closely with a Sr. Product Manager, you’ll analyze sales data, monitor market trends, contribute to new product development, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management. This role offers exposure across sales, sourcing, marketing, finance, IT, and manufacturing—giving you a strong foundation for long-term growth in product management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in product line development, management, or execution.
  • Exposure to new product, category, or business development from concept through launch.
  • Understanding of product life cycles and the marketing mix (4P’s).
  • Familiarity with online and offline marketing strategies, including catalog, retail, and digital channels.
  • Working knowledge of MS Access and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, analyze data, and drive initiatives forward.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation abilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to leverage internal resources effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Actively seeks diverse perspectives to drive better solutions and results.

Responsibilities

  • Run and analyze sales reporting.
  • Generate reports on new product initiatives and provide leadership with insights on performance trends.
  • Evaluate product performance.
  • Assist in reviewing product line effectiveness, profitability, and overall impact on the business.
  • Monitor product portfolios.
  • Support assigned product categories and contribute recommendations to overall product strategy.
  • Support product development execution.
  • Partner with sourcing to manage product specifications and review product submissions.
  • Lead select project initiatives.
  • Provide project management support for product development and marketing initiatives across channels.
  • Support the sales organization.
  • Assist with product-related inquiries, policies, and issue resolution to ensure timely responses.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Participate in meetings with marketing, sales, finance, operations, IT, and creative teams to support business growth strategies.
